A Scrapbook of Our Relationship With the Universe

A complex group of sunspots, known as Active Region 10030. Sunspots are caused by powerful magnetic force-fields, which hamper convection and are up to 7,000 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the Sun?s surface, which is typically about 9,944 degrees.
